clunking noise on rear struts

    clunking noise on rear struts

    ok i finally lowered the car with kyb gr-2s and tein stech springs. i did the work myself and now when i drive or drive through an uneven patch on the road i hear this clunk coming from the right rear strut. What could this be?

    you may want to check the upper strut mount, may be a bit loose the center bolt

    I had the same problem, you probably accidentaly lost or forgot to put back in the center ring that goes at the top of the strut mount. It leaves a space for the strut to clunk.

    i was able to fix the problem. I was told that i had tighten the end links to the strut body. apparently i didnt tighten them as they should causing the clunking noise. Everything is now good to go!

    They are the swaybar endlinks, they go attached to the rear struts by the middle of the strut. They are on the opposite side of the brake lines.
