I know a lot of you have had the oil consumption problem fixed any idea on about how much a shop would charge to fix it?

Doubt it. 9th Gen Corolla CAI can fit with mods.

Ok here's another question, would celica gt fuel injectors make a difference? Also was wondering about a celica gt throttle cable...

Build your own CAI and it will cost you less than 200. Get the celica gt manifold and throttle body and ecu then you can consider the injectors. No idea why you would need the throttle cable.

Wasn't sure if it was shorter, for better throttle response...less cable, less travel. And I was planning on getting the manifold and tb if I can find one locally, if not then ive seen em on eBay. The ecu is only thing I'm iffy about bc sounds like a lot of re-wiring is needed.

Just tighten the cable down, remove the extra play out of it. It was even on Vamp's DIY years ago.

Ok ill have to check it out. Reason I'm asking all this is bc I found a complete 02 celica gt motor with a bad block for 200 so I could get the head, intake manifold, throttle body, and fuel injectors all at once.

Can I use a 03 corolla intake manifold with a 02 celica gt throttle body?

So I've been debating getting this oil consumption problem fixed but I've been told its gonna cost an arm and a leg at a shop to do so I was wondering since I wanna do a 02 celica gt head anyway could I just swap the whole motor since they are both 1zz's? Thanks for any input.

Yea it should be a fairly simple swap too since you are already vvti. Just make sure you get the motor with the drive by cable throttle body and ecu. I was actually think about getting that header, but got the obx instead. I should have gotten it tho, it is cheaper and has a slightly bigger outlet. Plus either way you are going to have to weld in a flex pipe so it wont crack. I also port matched my header to the gasket.

Oh ok cool bc I was gonna do the head, tb, and intake manifold anyway but if I can find a good deal on the whole motor and solve my oil consumption problem Id much rather do that. And I think ima get these headers and give em a try this is the first header I've seen for our cars besides obx and Megan Racing but those are always sold out.
