I cant fit my rims...:(

    I cant fit my rims...:(

    I have a set of 225/40/18. in the back i have a prob with the stupid strut that hits the tire. is there any way to fix that? do new struts take place of the old metal piece thats in the wheel well? i have coilovers but the spring isnt the prob the metal round thingy holding the spring is. its pissin me off, please help.

    yea its the strut housing that hits the rim. is there any way to fix that?

    yah uhh man is the tire yo have to get 35 profile tires thats happed to me when i bought my 17" i put on 45 profile tires and they were rubbin like crazy.......... i put on 40's and never again

    225/40/18! You need lower profiles dude. You use 40 with 16's and you got 18's lol.

    actually those seem low pro enough....ur tire is pretty wide to wanna have it fit in a corolla....maybe 215 would do you good..

    215 35 18 is what im running on my car right now.

    Ideally, on a Corolla, you' have to go with 225/30... but yah... but damn, those are wide and high sidewalls for a Corolla :S

    Plus, if its rubbing on your strut, the offset is off, try getting the rims in another offset or getting spacers...

    205 or 215 ...pick one and it should fix the problem.

    it hits the thing the spring sits on. thats the main problem. im lookin into 2" spacers cuz it only hits by a few mm. do they make smaller aftermarket perches??

    Not only lower profile tires, but you'll need 205 width tires with 45mm offset rims to fit beneath the fenders if you're lowering the car, otherwise, expect rubbing whenever you have people in the back.

    whoa. those are my exact measurements... 205 with 45 offset... phew!
