sunroof?

    sunroof?

    Juss wondering if it can be done and how much. IS IT possible to put sunroof on a car that dont have one?

    yes, it is possible, but i am not sure on how much it would cost.

    hmm..I have a friend that went to a toyota dealer and they put in a sunroof in his 03 celica for $900.

    could also go custom with the sunroof..not sure how much thatd cost though...i wouldnt mind finding out myself...

    Well not more than about $10 for cost of materials. Just borrow a saw from someone, cut a hole to whatever size you want and tape a big piece of translucent plastic (any color you want also) and you're done.

    ahahah ummm its ok i think we want it waterproof and have (real) moving sunroof not juss a plain translucent piece of plastic

    You could adapt rolling rails like the ones they use on desk drawers and stuff. Hehe... okay sorry for turning this post into a joke. But I think $900 for installation of the sunroof direct from Toyota is actually not bad. When I was first looking at buying my Corolla, there were a few that I looked at the did not have the sunroof, and I was told that adding it would definitely cost over $1000. On the other hand, you can probably save money going aftermarket custom, but from Toyota, they would give you the real Toyota genuine parts, like adding in the front maplights with the sunroof controls, replacing the interior trim pieces to allow room for the sunroof, etc. I guess as long as OEM parts are used, it should be good.
