    Components or two ways?

I'm trying to upgrade the 6.5's in the front and i just cant decide on which one. Hands down i want more bass but im not trying to spend a fortune on this thing. i know i'm not going to get subwoofer type bass but i just need a little more umph in this system. just point me in the direction of more bass

    right know i got
    8" Polk/momo=400watts, 200rms
    3-way Sony Xplods 6x9=350watts, 100rms
    Profile Cali mono amp=400watts, 200rms
Profile Baja 4-ch=700watts 160rms x4 (I think Waiting for ups)

i tryed to go cheap with the 8" by stuffing it to a Bazooka tub but this speaker has to be in a sealed box so the amount that i paid for the sub and the box i could of went with 10" or 12" (yes i have learned from my mistake)

I would definitely go with the components, the components and the 2 ways should both provide about the same bass (especially if they are both 6.5"), the difference though is the components will have more clear and better mids and highs (thanks to the seperate tweeter), and also, the seperate tweeter also has the advantage of helping to move the soundstage up higher (less close to you feet and closer to your ears).

You'll need an amp if you want to do components though which will make the components cost possibly two to three times as much as two-ways. Components won't get you any more bass than a 2 way either. I'd recommend 2-ways if you're on a budget. If you want more SQ then by all means go with the components, they're worth the cash if you're willing to dump it in.

EDIT: I just saw you have an amp coming. In that case opt for the components. What's your budget?

My budget it depends if its components i know i will be paying at least $100 and on 2-ways no more than $80. I really like those Polk/MOMO MMC650 but they are to expensive retail at $169.99 (2-way) and the
    Polk Audio MMC6500 $299.99 (comp)

if the 2-way and the component are not really different bass wise then might as well go with the two way i'm pretty good on the sq im looking for umph
i'm not trying to spend alot if its not needed.

    Thanks
