need some help.

    need some help.

    My friend has a 97 civic, he was having a screaching noise coming from his wheel well. We thought it was the brakes, so we remove the wheel and the inside of the well is covered in greese. The brakes are fine.
    The rubber boot that goes over the axle is in 2 pieces. The car drives fine and the noise has stopped.
    How bad is this and what can result if its not fixed? :confused:
