    No lift when cold?

Hi. I ran my car one morning when it was cold and I think that the rev limit cut out at 7000 rpm or so. Is that possible? It may have been at the actual rev limit of ~8000, but I'm not sure? Has anyone experienced something similar? Just wondering. Thanks.

same thing happens with my prelude. it's designed to protect the motor while the components are still warming up. things like metal expand when they get hot, so all the fine components of your lift system shouldn't be abused too much while this is happening.

Thanks for your advice. I know that it also happens with VTEC motors. I guess its the same with our motors.
