Blew some wires?

Blew some wires?

I was driving a long and my sub stopped working. I took it out of the enclosure and all that good stuff and the only thing i could tell was this

The wires that go from the amp to the sub go through the back of the enclosure. The little prongs that stick out inside the box that connect to wires that go to the actual sub itself, one of them was all burnt up.

Anyone know the cause of this? Could this cause other probs like frying the sub, other connections etc.?

This stereo shop has f*cked up enough and i'm tired of going back. Just dealin with this myself now. Thanks in advanced
