    just curious

    What the heck is the difference between the 02 1zz and the 03 1zz??
    I mean the engine code is the same,would'nt that mean that the engines dimensions for both years would be identical? Like parts meant for the 03 1zz would fit on the 02 1zz?

    my dad has 04 and i seen 01 and 02, engines look similar of not the same... in terms of performace i think its all in the chip, besides toyota lowered down the hp to 127 in 05 from 130 in 03 and 04, so you are not missing on anything 1 or 2 HP is not much.

    parts are identical but making them fit may be another story.
    05 and up have drive by wire.

    For the engine parts, I think everything is same from 01-06.
    I think the reason why 03+ has more hp is the ECU, bigger throttle body and plastic intake manifold. Nothing about the engine itself.
    Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

    not sure on this. if you look at them, they are completely different.
    so im not sure if it will fit. 03+ are plastic

    It should fit, celica GT's intake manifold fits in 01, I don't see why 03+ rolla's won't.
    If you change the intake manifold from 03+, you will need to use the throttle body for 03+ too since it's bigger.
