if you have chunks of metal floating in your oil, you have more problems than just a simple magnet can fix.

haha Very true. The FilterMag hasn't really picked up anything significant in my case.

The 7A-FE I have is an iron block engine, so does that mean they'll work?

WOw.. $25 for just an oil drain plug.

Some of my older cars (iron block and/or heads) have magnetic drain plugs - many from the factory.

I run them on my Corolla and Matrix as well, doesn't hurt them at all. I'd be hard pressed to fork over any amount of money for them - I just took the magnets off the coil inside an old harddrive (very strong magnets) - stuck them onto the bottom of the oil pan or on the drain plug itself. Never noticed much of anything on them though - but I know if I do see metal on it - I know that the engine is toast.

Well my brother has a Durango, and there's one on his transmission and he said he pulled off alot of metal. But its an iron block, and I'm assuming an iron transmission housing.

if you do get one, get a no name one on ebay. Project Kics is just another overpriced/overhyped JDM brand.
