i see that you have the 12" sub, how does that sound, and how much power are you pushin thru it? i know you're not running 1800W on it, cuz that's max power, and if you are, it wont last more than a day. I think the RMS power is probably closer to 300W. anyhow, they sell them where i work, and was looking at them, cuz the price is cheap as hell for me. are they good enough to consider? or are they just decent i was thinking about those or some rockford fosgate HE2s. those are rated at 400W RMS/800W max. please kids, do not be blinded by max power.

Just a quick note to tell you that I had an HE2 12" and I blew it up with 300 Watts RMS. I wrecked the voice coil. I only used it for a couple months. Now I went and bought a 12" JL W3V2. Haven't had a problem with that one yet. I am running that sub with a Power Acoustik OV4-600watt Max amp at 4 OHMS.

how did you wire it? parellel or series? also, i can pay 5 bucks for a 4 year service plan, and if that happens to me... i go back to work and pick up a new one.

Not sure, All I know is it is a four channel amp and I have 150 going into each voice coil. I think that means parallel. Can't remember though. That is how the stereo guy at the store told me to do it. Just a note to let you know I was also powering that HE2 with the same amplifier. (Power Acoustik)

    Re: power acoustik

The Power Acoustik sub runs close to at least 600w - 900w RMS, but i am safely pushing 500w at the moment for now, it hits real hard in tha car I wanted to get a second one as well. I had two 10" fosgate HE2s in my old Sentra but they werent as loud as my 1 12" PA sub its real good for the price. Oh yeah I could go higher in the amp range but my trunk rattles like biatch right now with just 500Watts. Oh yeah I could never run at max that would be bad

900 RMS watts? It sure is a power-hungry sub.
You'll need a strong mono amp to push it.

good to know, i have a kenwood 8101D amp. so its 1000W max, i think that's @ 2 OHMs, so that would probably be perfect for that sub, since it's DVC, right? if i dont sell it, ill use that amp, otherwise, ill have to get a stronger amp. one 12" sounds good for me, even tho the trunk is so much bigger than the 200sx, i miss being able to throw a bunch of junk in the trunk
