Which parts needed for bearing replacement?

I think I've figured out why I'm getting vibrations whenever I press the brakes. A while back I came too fast around a curve and ended up slamming the front driver-side wheel against the curb (shattered the rim and everything).

Ever since then I've had an annoying vibration in the steering wheel everytime I step on the brakes. I thought it was the rotors so I bought new slotted rotors. The problem went away for a couple months. But, slowly, it's coming back. After discussing this with some people I've come to the conclusion that it might be the bearings or the hub assembly.

Before I go out ordering parts, can anyone give me any sure-fire ways that I can use to pin point whether it's really the hub bearing or the hub assembly... Also, will I have to buy any other parts for the replacement such as the ring snap or axle seal kit?

it may be one of two things, since you experienced pretty much the same as i. i had the front right bearings replaced. it kept making the noise. I my case it turns out i broke the tranny bearings on the drivetrain on the driveshafts. first , fix the bearings (have them replaced cost me 50 bucks for both parts) and then have the drivetrain checked it the noise continues.
