I called skunk 2 and told them my coilovers were wrong. However they didn't seem to be wrong. They told me that I have to cut the top of the pirch so the sleeves go down more. Is that safe? Is that silver plate on the pirch that the sleeves sit on just a dust cover? or will the shocks get all messed up if i cut it? How do I do this? Pipecutter? Or am i not cutting the blue pipe but only the silver cap itself? Idk any do this before?

well good news is the spring will be better than cutting stock springs. bad news is cutting springs in the first place is never a good idea. if you are planning on using your car for show, i guess you can go ahead but if you are planning on doing it for track purposes, do not do it or you'll screw your car even more.. i would just return the springs if i were you.. and probably get tein (as much as i hate them) or eibach or something.. i would recommend swift springs but they dont make one for corollas...

as for your struts, those are tokico im assuming? if you put your stock springs back on, your car should be lowered an inch or so with those...

he's not talking about the springs, he's talking about the silver cap thats below. if you are competent with a roto zip, use that. if not, then just slice out pieces until you can slide it off with a metal saw.
