I know I asked this before...but just to add a little more..

The speeding ticket I got, I got the citation letter in the mail. Both my driver's license and license plate are incorrect. Is this something significant I should be aware if I decide to appeal it?

I don't know if you'll get out of this. The officer might be able to amend the citation in court. In PA, the only thing that is considered a fatal flaw is having the wrong section number for the violation listed. A buddy of mine is an officer and he put down the wrong date and wrong route number on a citation. He amended it in court (made notice to the error and corrected it at the hearing) and the defendant was found guilty. As long as your name is correct, and the officer ID's you in court, you might be out of luck, unless it is different for your state.

Here you may be able to get off with that. But if the cop wants they can re-issue a new ticket.

I paid the bail and filed an "innocent" plea. When court apperance came, I took my best bud and headed down there. I saw the officer who cited me check in and sorta looked at me but I guess he didn't recognize me. When the judge called my name, I stood up and asked if there is anyone here for me? "anyone? case dismissed". I walked out but my friend stayed behind in the audience while I went to pay off another fix-it ticket. He said that right when I walked out, the officer realized that he missed me but the judge said its too late since I already made myself present and walked out. I couldn't stop laughing!! 2 months later I forgot about the bail when I recieved my money back! Ahh....early Christmas! Good times!!
