Where is the hole in the firewall?

Where is it that the wires from the engin bay run in to the cabin of my car? Can I get to the hole in the firewall easily from under the hood? If so, where do the wires enter the cabin? Woudl I have to take my dash apart?

its pretty easy to get into..youll see a bunch of wires going into the firewall (while looking at the engine bay)..i stuck my 4gauge power wire in there..it was pretty tight.

Why would you drill a hole, then you could get leaks and rust, theres already places to pass wires thur the firewall and they have rubber gromets to seal the holes too.

    Kids these days...

On my 02 there is a small grommet in the center of the firewall that goes through to the other side. This is the only one I've seen that can be used easily. I tried to route it through the side body cavitys with the wiring harness' but the corners are very sharp and I would have to pull the body panels to make the wires turn them.

hmm, never heard the firewall called a bulkhead. Bulkhead makes me think of a big ship or something. I think ill keep calling it a firewall, hehe.

technically firewall means fire resistant wich the as you call it "Bulkhead" in a car is fire resistant. there really isnt a such thing as fire proof, if it gets hot enought it can melt or burn anything.
