    Service Engine Light question

My Service Engine Light went on last week at 45K miles and I have been contiuning to drive the car (80 miles a day) for abouty a week now. I don't feel/hear/smell anything weird on the car. Oil looks good.

Could someone share me with some advice or similar experience on this? I would like to try to do my own diagnosis before I send the car into the dealership ($$$) to repair or reset the light.

    Thanks guys!!

do you have any modifications to the car like an intake or something? The check engine light should not come on at 45K unless you've done something wrong with the car. If not, take it to the dealer to see if they'll warantee it.

just pull the connections off of your battery and it will reset. If it comes back on see your dealer if not it was a false positive. Happened to me about a month ago (no engine mods). From the sounds of it this is a common thing to happen.
