And added a Wilson "Little Wil" magnetic antenna, made by Wilson Antennas, I keep it in the trunk until needed, I ran the wire to the passengers side via the door channels and then under the carpet, the last 2 feet sit coiled under the seat, until needed, than I get out, mount the antenna in the rear, pass the wire through the trunk and close it, the 3 foot mast is stored under the storage area floor matt, and mounted to the base in seconds……Cost like $25…

And for the cell phone when on long trips or in hard blacked out areas…

This is from Wilson Electronics; the Wilson Antenna folks somehow split with each other years ago, some family feud?

this is not a passive repeater, those window clip things of the 80s and 90s, they had a antenna outside, and a repeating piece of metal inside, like a clip and you rolled the window up to hold it in place,

this you get the adaptor and hook a wire to the cell phone, so from adaptor to the long wire to the antenna, the cell phone is hard wired to the outside...the adaptor just pops in the back like a port, like hooking up power, takes only a second...

I keep the adaptor in the center console, the adaptor has 12 inches on it, and all but the last 18 inches of the wire from the back where the antenna is stored until needed is coiled under the seat and hidden,

you can use the trunk mount or...I got my local CB shop to make a NMO mount magnetic mount, they took a CB antenna magnetic mount, took out the center and added the Wilson Electronics NMO mount 3/4" Hole - Roof Mount (w/ 14' Coax) now I am not cutting a hole in my roof, again this is what you local CB shop can put into a magnetic CB antenna mount, the flat ones that you can remove the CB mount and add this…(the bottom one)

again as in the CB antenna, I ran the wire this time down the drivers side and under the carpet the last 18 inches and had it come out with 18 inches of slack coiled under the drivers seat, ready for use, get out, mount the magnet on the roof, from where it is stored in the trunk and screw on the Trucker NMO mount cell phone antenna, and even in the remotest, blacked out areas, I get 5 bars on my cell phone…cost? $20 for the antenna and $10 for the NMO adaptor and $10 to the local CB shop to make the magnetic mount with the NMO adaptor…
