    Amps

I just got a new amp&sub package (early xmas gift) and I'm quite new when it comes to wiring this stuff up....but, that's where the fun comes in, and I'll figure it out *eventually*.

I did have a few questions though

First, does anyone have a nice picture-filled guide of how they routed their wires? I'm mostly interested in how to get through the firewall and then into the trunk with the wiring. A showing of getting underneath those kick panels and door sills would be nice.

Secondly, the amp I got is a 2 channel amp, and I'm going to bridge it; but from the looks of how you do that (+ to +L, - to -R or vice versa) it appears as though I still need to feed the amp a stereo signal, or at least the mono signal across both L and R inputs; is that true? Or will the amp 'detect' this and work without that?

Those are my major questions....oh, and any ways of mounting the amp and sub without doing anything permanent to the car would be much appreciated; I like keeping the car in a condition that I can return it to stock whenever should I so require.

Thanks for any help you all cna offer. I'm going to take another stab at getting at least some of it done tonight.....here's hoping...

Here's a good DIY for the wiring

As for the connection to your amp, you should read the manual about whether or not it needs both left and right connections. Be careful bridging your amp. You need to know what the ohms of the speakers are because you can easily blow your amp and/or speakers if the ohms are set too low. Crutchfield provides a good page that documents all possible wiring combinations.
