    ok why when i go into best buy and use that computer shit to find speakers for my 04 corolla does it say that the rear speakers are 6 and a half whereas everybody on here says the rears are 6 X 9'z??????????????????

    Cause that's how someone inserted it into the system. You could also easily fit 6.5s in the 6x9 slot anyway.

    The reason being is because the stock speaker mount holes DO NOT line up with a 6x9 speaker. They Factory Speakers are a non-standard 6x9 mount.

    So, becuse it's not a TRUE 6x9 mount, our book at Best Buy will tell you that you need a speaker mount kit that converts the hole to 6.5" speakers.

    I talked with the Car install guys about this (the actual installers, the sales people know nothing) and they said seeing the cue "Converion Kit" would tell the install guys to let the customer know that they "could" fit 6x9s in with modification.

    The computer we have at Best Buy is for people who don't know any better, so we can sell you one extra part, to make more money.
