Me and buddy recently install a aftermarket cd player for my sister car. The probem is it will turn off like ever 2 week for no reason and it will not turn on. Now, if my sister turn on the light, the cd palyer will turn off. What i do to fix this is, take the harness out and plug in back in (Take me less then 5 minute to fix the problem). i jsut dont wnat to keep doing this over and over, so i trying to search for the problem. WHat is the problem?

odd.. I installed my CD player myself from the parts included with the player. It had its wire connections, and I desoldered the stock hookup from my stock radio. Found wireing guide, and "did the damn thang."

I had no issues with it. I could guess that the problem occurs because of a short, or overloaded circuit. But that is just a suspicion.

=/ uhh check the thick black wire and the yellow wire, check the fuse box the ones for the radio and headlights...i think ur ground cable might be messing up

if worse comes to worse, cut the yellow wire, and add a pushbutton (might want to use a relay) to reset the stereo...
