Converting manual locks and windows to power

Ive recently started looking into how to convert my 98 CE's manual locks and windows. I realized that the manual models have completely different door panels, where the armrest does not extend all the way. I checked out parts sites, and i dont want to pay $400 per door panel, plus switches and other panels. My idea so far is to go to a junkyard and see if i can find the panels, actuators, brackets and everything i need off of another corolla. Maybe take the entire door with me. Any other suggestions of where to find these parts? maybe there is a site out the that has them for cheap. Im also thinking about converting my tach to have a tach

    Thanks

I'm not sure about your gen, but on mine, the wiring for the power windows and locks isn't there on the non-power equipped models, so you'd have to run that yourself. Be sure you check that out before you get too deep into the project.

yeah, on my car there was no wiring in the car doors. I just bought a universal door lock kit from ebay and hooked it up to a keyless entry system from pep boys. two years later and its still going strong. It took a days worth of work but much better than manual locks.
