    dimmmm

    at night i notice that when my headlights are on and im at a redlight...all the lights on my car dim including my headlights...and my voltmeter goes down to 12volts when its usually at 13.5-14.5...do you all think this is my altnator??

    Yep.

    Get your electrical system checked.
    When you are driving, your alternator charges up your system.....when you are sitting at a light, if your alternator is bad, your battery is taking the strain powering everything.

    mine dim but its my system, all 1000 watts of it. man I should get a cap. anyways. sounds like your alternator.

    believe it or not, i just got a new alternator n battery friday cuz i was driving home and all of a sudden my headlights started to dim, n then i got to a place in town where there was no street lights n i noticed that they had almost completely died out..so i turned around n sputtered n revved my way into a pepboys automotive place...cuz if i didnt rev it, my car would start sputtering n sound like it was about to die....but newayz, i bought a new battery n had to use that just to make it home, then left the car at home for my dad to replace it while i was at work the next day.....thanks for not picking up ur phone calls fastrolla96!!!!...hehe jp dude, i made it through the night at least..
