    Probably not

If you follow the Toyota Specs. for disabling the DRL's your dealership will probalby never notice or even care. Unless you cross wires and burn out something serious, you are ok (just unplug the battery to be safe). I disabled mine when I put in my Silverstars. It will only take about 30 minutes to do and cost you much less than the dealer. Tustin Toyota in SoCal wanted to charge $240 to disable mine. I told them to bite me.

What are the "Toyota Specs" for disabling them? Everybody I talked to, from Toyota, said the 03 and 04's can't be disabled by them. Wires have to be cut, or pulled.

Toyota Acutally Has a Spec Sheet

Toyota actually has a specification sheet on how to do it. If you want to totally disable your DRL's, then it is very easy. Yes it does involve cutting one wire, where one end you tape (because it will not be used), the other end coming out of the DRL unit gets "grounded" to the chassis. Go to the link below. It is for a 2003 Corolla / Matrix.

I've had zero problems sice I've done it.

Ok, I'll check it out. Dealer's lying....yeah, I know it's hard to believe. I had a 91 corolla and the front passenger's side window and rear driver's side window would only go down, but not come back up, using the master switches. The dealer told me I would need new regulatiors, all new switches, etc at a cost of $800. It took 15 minutes for them to figure this out. I took it to a mom and pop garage. They spent 2 hours looking it over and found 4 wires that cracked/broke in the main wire harness. They spliced and repaired them and the windows worked fine, all for $70. If the dealer would have done their fix, it still would not have worked and I would have been out $800!!!

The specs in the two links are for earlier generation corollas. The 03 and 04's specs are different than these (coloring and location) from what I've read.

OK... Yes it is really easy to disable your DRLs and the links that you have posted are great. Although you shouldn't have gone so far, MoonShadoMadness has a great DYI in his website.

On the other side, NO...Toyota has no such thing as "Specifications to disable your DRLs" all of the links that you found are from websites where simply a DYI is posted. Nothing to do with Toyota.

One more thing, Disableling your DRLs will in fact be grounds for your warranty to be voided so just hide the switch.

Also watch out for Insurance. When your car is put in the computer at an insurance company, the DRL option is automatically "checked" which actually lowers your insurance. If you get in an accident and they notice you disabled them and they show that you have them, they could choose to not give you any money at all. Just call your ins. carrier and tell them to take it off, it should only change your bill by a few bucks.
