    Door Speakers...and Dash?

Anyone know the actual size of the woofer speaker in the door? I hear some people have put in 6.5's, but I read somewhere that it's a 7" speaker. If that's the case, has anyone attempted to install 8's? If I could get a pair of 8's in the door, I'd still need some highs up front. Has anyone attempted to install any speakers in the dash? Maybe 4" or so? I haven't gotten inside the dash to see how much room is in there, and I'd hat to actually cut into the dash. Any crazy stereo mod jobs out there with pics?

I'd stick with 6.5". The stock speaker may be slightly larger, but it takes some custom work to mount a new speaker in there, and 6.5" works well for that situation.

6½ are really simple to install there, you just have to destruct the stock speakers and install the new one in the stock mount. W~

    door speakers are 6.5"

I upgraded my door speakers. they are riveted into the sheet metal and surrounded by a plastic framing. Once you pull the stock speaker the hole in the door is larger than the typical 6.5" round. build a template out of mdf plywood. mount speaker to mdf, and then sheet metal screws into door.
