    For cars, I believe it's 0.125 grams/mile or less. The 2ZZ-GE is TLEV (transitional low emissions vehicle) certified, which is actually pretty bad in terms of emissions. Emissions class from worst to best are TIER1>TLEV>LEV>ULEV>SULEV. The Corolla/Matrix 1ZZ-FE is ULEV. The Celica/MR-S 1ZZ-FE is LEV, which says it's all in the tuning for that extra 10hp in the Celica an MR-S.
