    Fender rolling tool rental...

I was wondering if anyone in the SoCal area would be interested in splitting costs to rent one so we could all roll our fenders...

its 50 bucks to rent, but i'm not sure how much shipping and handling is so 25 + shipping = around 30 each? I won't be able to do it until my winter break comes along. I just don't have that much time during school.

Nope. I work at Simi Valley.:D

Just inform me when we're gonna do this. The earlier the better. I hate hearing my wheel scrapping the fender.

if you arent worried too much about it then grab a metal hack saw and cut out some grooves and fold them back into the fender well. thats what i did and you dont have to worry about warping or anything.

well any method works, but I'm worried about the paint chipping or getting damaged. The fender rolling tool is meant to roll the fender without compromising the paint.

oh and DOT., its been kinda hectic for me lately and i got midterms next week. But I'll see if I can rent the tool a little after Thanksgiving so we can do it after the holidays.

i've tried to reserve the roller tool and its near impossible. the waiting lists are too long. its prolly more practical to gather more ppl and then split the costs of just buying one. they're selling for 200

Ok I've been putting DOT. off about the fender rolling due to the unavailability of the tool. Sorry... :( So I have an idea. The price for buying a tool just dropped recently so its only 224.99 + 14.95 shipping.

I was thinking if we can get enough people, we can get a group buy to split the whole cost and end up with a tool to keep. That way we can also spend as much time as we need with it. And then we can rent it out to others and make our money back plus more if possible. Is anyone in? DOT. you interested?

I'll be interested if 3 more other people will be interested.

I have a confession to make... I already had my fenders rolled.:) HA4. After I installed the coilovers, I was really rubbing so a friend of a friend rolled my fenders.;)

I'm running 205s too! I would use the baseball bat method but with a black abs plastic pipe instead since its more flexible and less likely to crack the paint. But I'm still worried about cracking my paint. It would help if I had someone applying heat to it at the same time I'm rolling. hehe Plus its kind of hard doing it with nothing but a floor jack. I'm also worried that I won't be able to control the rate of the floor jack well enough and dent my fenders while rolling it.
