    Nice post. So do I get it right that you have to take a scew out to get it to open like that and then put it back in to close it. May be a stupid question but thats the way I interpretted it. Thanks though man. Finally somone posted up a how to and pictures

    So pretty much this mod isnt all that functional if you are actually using your trunk huh. Good for people with full systems back there that done ever use their trunk except to show it.

    yeah I hardly flip it anyways. But its nice to have. It is like a normal trunk as long as the bolt is tightened.

    what do u put behind the screws holding the hinge? a nut?

    there is nothing, it was just drilled in tight.

    hey i just did it today and every think is fine except the rear of the trunk stick up?


    the hinges i used look like there bendin so that might be the reason, iam gonna try some thinker ones tomorow,

    do u have this problem??

    seems like you could install a pair of those bold action door lock things (on on each side) to alieaviate the need to add and remove the bolt each time.

    yeah i my friend has that, its those little sliding dead bolts and just drill ahole int the side off the hinge for the bolt to go in and screw the other part on the truck,

    i tried that too but i still need thiker hinges i think, iam gonna replace them today

    what are the bold action door locks and what kind of hinges are those?
    i wanna do it so i dont have to unscrew a nut all the time

    is the hinge in any way bent where it wan't bent in the store? i mean, besides for the actual bend, is there any other bends on the flat part of the hinge?

    yes, there is a bend on the lower part of the hinge. I actually just noticed because I was looking closely at it.

    with mine i just put it in a vice and hamered the bend into it "D :D
