    Gauge cluster foul up

Hey whats up everyone... new to the site.
I got a question. I recently swapped out my instrument cluter for a 2000 corolla CE with a cluster for a 2001 corolla S with a tach. The tach works fine. There is one thing that is wrong. The right blinker indicator does not flash when the blinker is engaged. However, when the rear window defroster is turned on, not the defroster light turns on but the right blinker light turns on. WTF???
I was wondering if this is because the S has a different wire structure than the CE. Or is this just another defective unit bought off of e-bay? Please help someone!

sounds simple. i have a guage cluster for my 93 from a later year prizm and the damn thing is totally different. when i turn on the lights the temp shoots in the red zone. crazy stuff like that. it is totally different. the tach didn't work even. good thing i got it for free.
