Help on the installation of Tail Lights

Do all Altezza lights for the corolla need to be modified for them to fit properly? I own a 2000 Corolla CE, and about a couple of months ago I bought some tail lights from Racerwheel.com, they were the clear "Tail Light YD" ones. I think they were Generation 3 or something like that. Anyways the problem I had was with the fitting of my stock light bulbs. I had went to a shop, and they told me that the stock lighting was suppose to fit that product fine, but it didn't. I couldn't even get all the bulbs to connect at all, the big one would sorta fit, but it was very loose. I then return my tail lights to racerwheel, and never got a refund from them at all. Now I just would never think of buying from them ever again, because I did not get my refund. Anyways, I want to get some other tail lights, prob. carbon fiber ones or black. So does the stock wiring and bulbs suppose to fit all these after market tail lights, or does it need some special modification done to them? If so, what exactly needs to be done? Thank you in advance for helpful replies.

Its weird they didn't fit, but the thing was I moved to another place, and I even send them a letter with the returned tail lights to send me the money
to the new address, and they didn't. Also their customer service wasn't all that great when I called them on the phone. All I got was, "once they get to it, you will receive your refund". Its been like 8 months already, don't you think that's too long??

please let's not start a flame war on personal preference... that's why this country has so many problems, people are always trying to force their opinions and beliefs onto other people. let people mod (or fuck up) their cars as they see fit. :D

    annnnnnnnnnyway
when i installed my friends gen3 altezzas, the bulbs wouldn't fit either.. but i manned up and forced those bitches in there and turned them with pliers until they clicked. also one of the problems you may have is the wires aren't long enough. all you have to do is file away some of the plastic that's making the restriction on the long light socket. just man up, after market parts will never fit as well as OEM parts. NEVER.

oh yeah, and racerwheel is usually pretty good about that sort of thing... they sent me a honda shift knob and i called them, and they sent ups the next day and i got the toyota shift knob the day after that. just call and talk to them. make sure you have receipts and stuff so that you can talk to them.

also, next time, support local merchants man.. www.vpower.net (run by the owner of this board)

and www.racingsolution.com run by a member here

    good luck
