    Helpful Front Speaker Installation

I was installing front speakers yesterday and I came up with some pretty helpful techniques...

To remove the stock speakers... use a heat gun to soften the plastic then slice it with a knife ... easy like hot knife through butter

To install a comp set.... run wires from your amp all the way to the front of the car on both corners...hide the xover under the dash... right next to glove box and under the steering wheel (all the way to the left... lots of room) on the left side.... run some wire through the gromet into the door... run your stock speaker wire to the tweet....now from the xover.. tap that into the stock wire which would be right under your xover.... blue and green wires on the right side... purple and pink on the left side...super clean install...cant see any wires or anything... t-taps are helpful...

    Hope this helped a bit

How did you run the speaker wire from the door to your crossovers. When I looked unless I was looking at it wrong, it looked a little tricky.

Do you have any pictures of where you put the crossovers, and the wiring?

    Thanks

My speakers are only fixed in with screws and not fixed permanently like what I have been reading across this forum. I was surprised to find this difference and this was hassle-free to remove the stock speakers. I am from Australia and my car was built in South Africa.

Another different we have is that we do not have rear speakers in the rear deck of the car, rear speakers are installed in the rear doors just like the front speakers are in the front doors. So all speakers in the car are 6.5".
