    HID cut and paste retrofit

I'm going to be doing this soon. However I need to know one thing. Are there any aftermarket projectors that utilize an H4 fitment into the projector lens? I already have an HID kit for the H4 size so I'm stuck using it. I have been looking at the aftermarket projectors for the 92-03 Civic since they all use H4s. I know that a lot of manufacturers don't use the same bulbs as factory when making projectors. http://reviews.ebay.com/HID-Guide-t...000000001638316.

Hmm... Good luck on your project. Wish I could help but I'm not "HID inclined" Hehe.

IMO, I don't think those kits are any good because they're still using halogens. You're better off shopping in www.hidplanet.com at least you know it's really built for HIDs.

I got a quote from a HID retrofitting company. It's around 300-500 to have a custom retrofit done, no core required. I'm thinking about the design to send in which would look best. I'm thinking to have it as stock looking as possible so no one would know I have a retrofit unless they look closely and see the projector or until I turn it on. So it will basically be stock chrome.

    They sent me this email:

Glad to see your interested in a retrofit, for a typical Bi-xenon retrofit setup heres a price breakdown. prices can ultimately range from $300-550 depending on what kind of parts you want. so let me know if your looking for anything specific. Chances are you will not be able to utilize your H4 HID kit since it wouldnt be compatible with HID projectors.

    Hella BI-xenon projectors- $155/pair
    Hella Ballasts/igniters - $155/pair
    Philips D2S bulbs- $60/pair
    Custom Shrouds - $25/pair
Plug n play wire harness: $55

    Retrofitting labor:$175
    Carbon fiber interior trim:$55
    Paint work:$15

unfortunatly we are booked for retrofits for the next few months, if your looking to have the retro done sooner, e-mail our partners at Bjorn@customlightz.com for info on their retrofitting services. If you just need the parts, then theres no wait.
