"How To" install Type B kit

Sorry for the low quality pictures. I took more pictures but a lot of them didnt come out right cuz of my cheap $40 digital camera

    Tools
    Philips screwdiver
    Flat head screwdriver
    2 jackstand
    clear tape
    Drill 1/8 drill
    10mm socket

I recommond you get one or two other person to help you.

    Tips before you get started
-When fitting the kit, push the kit as far up as you can to get a better fit
-Make sure the kit fits tightly before making any screws.
-Try to keep your hands clean when handling the grey rubber on top of the kit. My hands where dirty and I touched it and it was hard to get out.
-Dont take out the red tapping behind the bumber until you screw everything in and liked the way it looks.

    Front Bumper:
    Front bumper is pretty easy.

Unpack it and prepare your front bumper. The kit will come with 2 black rubber plastic. You will put that on the edge of the bumber with the rough side on the outside.

That black pastic thing should be on the inside of the kit not the outside like the picture shown. Line up the bottom hole and use a clear peice of tape to hold it together. Do the same thing to the other side.

Now get ready to install the bumber. Turn the wheels so you can have access to screwing on the front kit. To install it there should be 2 mounting hole on each side of the kit. Have someone hold the other side of the kit so your kit wont be bent when you screw in the screw. You dont need a drill to drill a hole but if you drill the screw will go in easier. The bottom hole should already have a "dent" on the stock bumber to tell you where to line up. Drill a hole and screw the screw in there. For the top screw hold the kit up so there is no gap and pull the kit back a little towards the tires and bolt the screw there. Do the same to the other side. Should look like this when you are done.[IMG]
I didnt use any of the metal clips that it came with or the washer for the front bumber. I only used the rubber washer for the rear, but I still didnt use the metal clip.

Between your grill there should 2 bolts holding the bumber. They are 10mm bolt. [IMG]
To take it out take a Flat head screwdriver and pry the bottom peice out by pulling down. Bolt you kit to that hole along with the stock bumber.

When you are done pull out the red tape between the grey rubber on top of your kit. After you pull out that long peice of red tape, push the bumper in so the glue can have a better contact with the kit.

    Rear bumper
The rear will take a little bit more time. Prepare the rear kit as you did in the front buy putting the black plastic peice on it and taping it up.

You must take out both of your tires in order to install the rear kit. Jack up both side on the back and set it on a jack stand. I recommond you use a real jackstand instead of the stock one like I did.[IMG]( on the pic, I already got the kit installed)

Once the tires are off do the same and bolt on the sides of the kit. I had a little trouble here in trying to make it fit. I had to use the black rubber washer that it came with to make it fit. Try the best you can to make it fit, there WILL be a gap in the middle of the bumber. [IMG]

Underneith the bumber you will find 2 black plastic bolt thing, kinda like the front bumber but this one is plastic. To take it off use a flat head screw driver pry it out.[IMG]

After you get everything bolted you will notice a BIG gap in the middle of your bumber. Dont worry. Get the red/orange stick thing and peel off the sticker. Go under your car and wedge it between the bumber and the gap. There is 3 of them and look inside the manual to see where to put it. Once you are done take off the red tape underneith the grey rubber on top of your kit and push the kit to glue it to the bumber.

After you are done the manual say not to drive the car for 12 hours to let the glue cure and stick to your car.

When you buy the kit it also comes with a muffler tip. It looks kinda wack and looks weird when you ut it on because of the way our muffler is, it points downward.[IMG]

The muffler tips make a rasphy sound like a fart can.

Here is the car after its done.[IMG]
The car in a way still looks stock after I installed the type B kit. She needs the side skirt and some rims.

heh, it's not a muffler tip, it's a muffler extender for people who have after market exhausts, its so you won't burn a hole in your kit...
