How to protect interior door lining?

I just recently noticed that the material on the door lining, above the driver's side master window switches, is snaging / wearing from my fingers constantly hitting it when I use the switches. I've been looking around for some type of clear plastic, with adheasive tape on it, to put on the fabric above the switches, to act as a guard. Anybody have any suggestions? Anybody know where I might be able to get the clear antichip tape, like the stuff used on the bottom of the wheel well area?...I thought this might work.
