There are two screws with plastic bushings. Take those out. There's one plastic screw in the middle near the hood latch. Take that out. The grill itself is held on by three plastic latches on the underside of the grill. Unhook those, and your OEM grill is free.

you have to kinda bang the bottom of the grill out from the inside.

not wanting to be an ass, but this is one of those things that is sort of self evident to anyone who has any buisness under the hood.

OTOH, this is how you learn. turn a wrench and see what happins. whats the worst that can happin while learning? you end up having other bolts to turn :)

dont you have anyone mentoring you in your automotive journey? i helped rebuild an isuzu and a honda (twice, damn CVCC head gasket) under the tutalage of my father and stepfather ( diffrent households, diffrent cars, broken home and all :) ) well before i had a licence to drive.

    edit: the filter catches ass?

unfortunately, Beak, not everyone has quite that luxury.

My dad knows as much about cars as he does about, well, anything...which is to say, not much. ((yes, I, too, come from one of those broken home things...I have no stepfather, just an uninterested mother. And my dad knows slightly more about cars than I let on...))

For me, and seemingly for rollinintherolla, any learning I do about cars or anything like that is mostly from reading online, asking Qs on forums, and finally doing something about it. If he's anything like me, he doesn't wanna end up spending 5 hours on a 2 hour job because he just took off his bumper trying to get the grille out; and he doesn't want to pull on what he thinks is a plastic latch and ends up snapping something.

There are some people that are more or less alone in the world to figure out this kinda shit, so when they don't know what they're doing they're gonna ask around to figure out what. Lay off the guy....

My bro got a 02 celica and e-celica provide me so much information on how to install stuff and i had learn alot from taht. Just letting u know, i install my CAI and other mods on my corolla, even my angel eyes headlights. And how did i know how to install them, ONLINE!!! not everyone is talented like u r.
