    whoa...STOCK 18"?

now if they give it an AWD trans setup, i'm all over that. even the domestic-minded boyfriend has agreed that he could handle owning a hyundai, considering how good their cars have been in recent years. i like that body a LOT more than the current accent, too.

Yah, that body is hot for a sub-compact car... production probably won't have 18s though.. the base model accent will probably have 14s and the sporty version will probably have 16s... the car looks good, will be interesting competition for the 2006 Yaris (I find the Accent looks better too...) :S

It's still a prototype, it might not get the 2.0 Turbo in production (but I sure hope it does).

Heh, if they had their current base engine (104hp) as the base engine again and the 4 Cyl. with 138hp from the Tiburon/Elantra as an optional engine, I think it would sell quite well... don't get me wrong, i'd LOVE to see a 2.0 Turbo in an Accent :D ****, that would rock!

yea but it's just that with all those add ons in technology and looks wise it's gotta have the turbo motor man that would be tight and I bet they'll sell way more.... sucks they also don't have them in a 5 spd manual :( A/T own me dude...... hate 'em lol

    I can't write D a m n? Just noticed it starred them out, lol...

Hopefully Hyundai doesn't dissapoint (a 2.0 turbo could be a nice engine for the Tiburon too... and a performance version of an Elantra...) We'll have to wait and see :)

agreed. :) like i said, at least they're making an effort. all the other "import" brands aside from Mazda seem to have forgotten the wonders of forced induction.

But yah, your right, for a while Toyota, Nissan, Mazda all had FI engines available (some cases a few)... its too bad :(

at the rate Toyota is going all they're focused on right now is hybrids, I don't think we'll have a turbo or S/C off the lot any time soon

I agree with CR98. I think that's why Toyota went with Scion. Scion (hopefully) can keep upwith the "bar pushing" that other companies want to go into, ie. Forced Induction, etc, while Toyota can comcentrate on the Hybrids and whanot, basically doubling their lineup of cars; tripling if you count Lexus's luxury lineup. It would be too many vehicles under just the Toyota Badge.
