    Installing S's foglights to CE

    Hi
I have Corolla CE (Canadian version)
I need your help guys!!! I installed foglights from S model and the light does not work!!!!!!!!!! when I bought this from ebay it only came with fog lamps itself. Anyhow I rechecked all the connection and I asked the dealer, they saying I might need switch, relay and moduel and they not even sure. The Technician guy point out that I need relay and switch. The swich cost $200(CDN) and there are two kinds of relay Denso $90 and tynko $35. So I ask you guys what do I need to make this foglights to work.

    make your own relay system.

    Go to Crappy tire get

    -Toggle switch (Your own prefference)
-30A Fog light relay. (they usually hide these on the bottom shelf of the fog light kits)
    -spool of wire (#14 AWG)
-Stake on's ( you will need at least 7)
-Wire splicers (black tape will work fine)
    -Black tape

Then just wire it all up yourself. Mount the switch right beside the coin holder on the car and you will be set. If you dont know how to hook that all up give me till tomorrow and I'll do up a wiring diagram. It will all cost less than the $30 they want for that relay for toyota and will work just fine.

there is only one 30A relay. You wont be doing anything to the stock wiring so you cant possibly burn anything in it up. This will be an independant system that runs off the battery.

but your not going to go to the dealer. You are going to go to Canadian Tire and buy a generic 30A relay for $8. Plus all the other parts I listed.

It seems though that you dont have much experience with electrical stuff, and you may find that you cant do this on your own. If you dont know someone that knows how to do this kind of stuff, I would suggest that you suck up the cost and have toyota wire it all up for you. Sure it may cost $1000 by the time you are done, but at least it will be done right. I dont want to see you messing up your car becuase I didnt explain something good enough. And what I have explained so far doesnt seem to be clear enough based on your questions you are asking.

    Hi

I told professional guy about the relay and he says he's got an idea. the idea was hook up the foglight wire to parkinglight, that way I do not have to install ugly toggle swith on my dash. Anyhow as test he put horn realy to foglight relay and it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All i have to do is order a extra relay for foglight.
    Thanks for the help stinky!!!

Reach behind the cover and you can feel the clip. push down the clip with you finger as you push it out.
