lol...damn birds get out of my way!!

ok so today going home from a somewhat bad end of the day there was 2
birds on the street. I had just made a left turn and the guy in front of me took the slow lane so I took the fast and anywas I look and im going about 20-30 then I see them damn rats with wings and I'm like them rats better walk or fly to my left because they where just about 1.5 feet into the lane.So I keeping looking and I cant go to my left because the other guys car is there(sure I could have slowed down just a tad but hell no)
So one of the last things I see was the birds head (lol) and I'm like oh shit I guess he'll just have to go under, but NOOOOOOOOOOOO the rat sperds his wings and I hit one of them....or he hit me anyways no damage was done but when I hit his little rat ass I looked back and all I could see was some feathers....good thing he hit the side of my car or else I would have put my car in R and made sure I finished the job. j/k about the last part but being that it was going to end in a bad day for me because of something that had happen at work I needed a laugh!!.

Anyone else have this happen to them? what ever happen to the rule we share with the birds they see us coming they get out of the way!

Oh yeah I once hit an Owl too.

man what a coincidence you post this. SImilar thing happen to me today too. Only one bird this time. There is a center divider that is made up of brushes. I drove normally up the street when I saw the bird on the side flapping its wings sucking on some flower or something, I don't know. IT was pretty close to my car, so I was sure it will fly away as I move closer.

Well, that damn bird didn't and flew right into my path instead. It went right up my windshield and I could hear a thump on the impact. I was driving close to 40mph. I could see the little leg disspear over me and that was the last I saw of the bird. Crazy huh? What's up with the birds today? RUn them over, that is what I say. Serves them right to be in the way the first place. THey know better, yet they take risks.

One time I was giving my mom a ride, (in my WRX) to work. It was like 9:00 at night and I'm driving on a road that is pine trees on both sides. I see this flash above my car and all of the sudden I smack an owl with my windshield. Doing about 20-25 mph. It hit near the top so it didn't break. Scared the S*** out of me and mom!!! I damn near ditched my car. Only time I ever hit a bird. I don't think I killed it though which is good because there aren't that many owls (I think??)

I was driving my CRX Si back in the day on a windy back road doing about 45 mph. It was a beautiful sunny day and I had the sunroof open just cruising. From a tree a little bird came swooping down and SLAP! Right into the front of my car. Feathers go flying up my windshield and I was thinking "WTF?!...the bas tard just commited suicide on my car!" I pull over thinking I was going to have to pull roasting robin from my radiator but all I could find were a few feathers. So I got back in my car and moved on. Still don't know what happened to that bird.
