    New S Cluster

I bought an 2002 S cluster from the junkyard and when I went home to install it on my 1998 VE and just an FYI for everyone out there. It fits but the wiring is different. Everything works fine except the rear defrost and the left blinker. When I turn left the light never blinks but when I turn on the rear defroster, the left blinker goes on. I find it humorous but if your looking for a cluster to be perfect I suggest you find one out of an LE not an S. good luck

Its the same with an LE, i got myself a 98 LE Cluster for my 01 CE, same left blinker/rear defroster problem, you just have to swap a couple of wires around. I got the diagram scans from CraigW (thnx again CW) and they help ALOT! If you want em just PM me and i'll mail them to you.

Is it an easy swap and swap back? for when I need to do my inspection and they're like wtf? you have 42K miles now instead of 91K and accuse me of odometer fraud.

you can swap the odometer part also... CW gave me that idea =P
just pop out the front clear plastic part of the cluster and uscrew the part of the ODO/Speedometer and swap with the old one... now you have your normal ODO reading.
