Noise in speaker with new installation in 2004

I installed a Pioneer 7600MP, and Sony V1635X 6 1/2" 3-Way Speakers , and V6935X 6" x 9" 3-Way Speakers. The next day, I noticed a small noise coming from the speakers, sounds like the distortion noise of an old record. It makes the sound when it's playing a cd and the radio. I made sure I hooked up the speakers right. I got from a friend that green is positive and blue is negative for the front speakers. The rear speakers had red and black cables. Plus, I soldered every connection. Is it possible that I got a defective cd player?
    thanks, sweetpea :D

If it's a scratchy kind of noise, you probably have a loose speaker connection somewhere.

Pioneer Hu's are excellent and i would lean towards a problem with the sony's. several ppl i've known and myself included have had problems with sony car audio. i avoid it at any cost.

    could be

maybe it might be some engine noise. Try listening with the engine on and off. If it stops when the engine is off then it is engine noise.

You might possibly have dirt or dust sitting ontop of you speakers. You can actually hear little tiney particles bouncing arround on the speaker elements. When i rolld my car, the bodyshop was fixing it, and they broke the rear window by accident, and i think there were some slivers of glass left over in the speakers, and there was also some dirt/dust in them too because the car sat outside one day with no windows in it while they were fixing it.

I ended up taking the rear deck off, ubolt one speaker, then take it out and hold it upside down while some good bass music was playing, that vibrated all the crap out of the speaker, did it again with the other side, and it sounded good as new again.

This might not be your problem, but maybe someone else might read it and it will help them, who knows. Just thought id share my experience.
