if its not one thing its another here in the rotten apple.....i just noticed that on the middle part of my hood theres some sort of tar like chemical substance that discolored the black paint....when i put water on it to try and get it off it got a little shiny like when oil mixes with water and now it seems like its caked on there.....any ideas on how to remove it, where to take it to get painted and how much it would run me???

Its impossible to keep a nice looking car in NY mines is messed up wit dentsfrom other car being keyed by some asshole .

Yep those city drivers are some bad guys. I always try to park as far away as possible and that worked until an suv decided to park next to me. Now I have a two-tone paint job.
