Pioneer amp and subs...What do you guys think?

does anyone have pioneer amps in their ride? How do they sound? I'm planning to get aPioneer GMX972 to power one 12' Pioneer TS-W3041DVC

Also, I'm trying to get some 4 way, but not sure which amp.

What do you guys think of the pioneers? Any suggestions, comments, complaints? I don't really hear many people equipped with Pioneers.

well, first of all, pioneer is really good company for head unit stuff. But i dont think pioneer subs and amps are not that great. They luck power. If you just planning to get little upgrad from your factory stock stereo, its gonna be great, but if not, you should get different one. i recommed Jl for subs (clean) or kicker (loud). and it really depends on what type of music you listen to. also, it depends on wheter you like bass or quality sound. i hope it helps.

yeah....I'm not sure what to really do. I'm on a tight budget but I also want something descent. I'm not planning to compete but I do want something somewhat clean. I want to be able blast but I don't need to go deaf. I can easily power the coaxials to 50-75 W but I'll never go up that high...so I say screw that.

I guess I'm just looking for something relatively clean but clean also. JL...aren't they expensive?

planning to do everything myself. I'm looking to spend no more than 300-400 on subs (including wires, accessories, etc.)

as for the insides, I'm going to wait until I can get Boston Acoustics. They will be running from the deck amp. I'll power those when I'm rich...

more of a tight base cuase I want it to be relativly clean. I'm thinking of getting a closed box. I also want to have the ease of mind that I can rock the hood. but I'm more of a conservative person. just want to know that I have the power of god sometimes.

if you want to get clean base, i would suggest you to get 12' JL subs in sealed box. if you have budget, i would get 2 12".
