i think there is also a fuse after the relay and before the grid. might want to look in your manual and see.

    rear defroster not working

i have an 02 corolla. everytime i push the rear defroster button, i can hear this clicking noise coming from where the fusebox is under the steering wheel. i havent taken it apart yet, but has anyone had this problem before? i ran a search on google and people with this same problem seemed to think the relay is not functioning or something like that. any ideas?

    thanks

The click noise is the relay. Does the indicator come on to show it is on ?? (the yellow indicator) If it does, I would check for voltage at the grid in back. CW

yes the light does come on. damn, i have like 1 week left of warranty. guess i better take my car up there. i actually had to have my whole rear window replaced earlier this year because 2 lines in the grid were not working. hmmmm.

I would check the connectors at the grid (clean and tighten)

Unless you have a major area missing from defroster coating you can get the conductive paint type repair kit and repair the individual lines.
