Anybody ever hear / use this product? It's something you paint onto rust and it reacts with it, basically ending the oxidation and turning the existing rust into a sort of thick, hard substance.

There's a thread about it here... worth a read I suppose:

Debating trying the stuff on my Integra and the fiberglassing the few little holes i'll have and re-painting it...

Yea its good stuff, basically it breaks up the chemical bonds in rust and turn it into a black color that is easier to get off what left of the bare metal. But the rust would have already ate away and weaken the metal so sometimes its better to just replace a panel, that goes especially for structural pieces. Make sure you spray some rust resistant paint/prime after you use it to prevent new rust from forming..

Yah, I wont be using it in any structural areas... the company I found recommends a rust inhibitor product to coat the area after which is suppose to stop any rust in that area... I might try it this summer since I don't want an expensive fix for the rust (my car is 12 years old after all, heh), just something that looks decent...
