...you have a S, your headlights are already smoked. Look at your car next to a CE or LE and you'll the difference.

yea i know, but thats not near enough.

Should I get the black housing lights instead? Would I get a ticket for them not having the amber reflector.? I don't want to make the car a total police magnet, i already have one ticket. :?

I want headlights that are NOT smoked. I think about how much ppl spend on HID bulbs and such, then they put smoke or tinting on the headlights and reuce the output. I just dont see the point.

Anyway, there is a place in town where I live that makes headlight protection kits. its the transparent vinyl that is pre-cut for different models of car. theyhave doifferent colors and smoke is one of them. I dont know what these "kits" cost but they would be more permanent than painting them.

the blkack housing just has the chrome part painted black. Well actually its a flat black plastic, so there will be no notiable difference in light output.

I am talkiug more of the guys you see with the tinte black headlight covers on their car, or the guys that put colored vinyl on the headlights. Anything on them will block out some of the usable light output. So you need to decide what you want....... to see good, or to look good.

Yea i guess the black housings are just the best way to go. I wish there was a larger variety of headlight housing available... Anyone find Black Chrome Housing lights.? The only ones i have seen are those off of rsversion.com

    thanks, on the sig.

I did see on Ebay that someone has "Gold housings" for sale. they are pretty interesting. it looks almost like the black JDM style ones, but they use a black gold chrome instead of flat black. Its hard to tell from the pic they have but you can find it on Ebay right now. Its the first time I have seen it, and I imagine that they may get more.

I beleive IntenseMotorSports also has the Gold housing headlights. I imagine these would look good on an Indigo Ink corolla, just cuz blue and gold go good together, maby the red rolla too. They would also be good if you were going for a pimp themed corolla, hehehe
