solobaric and MTX amp combo?

    solobaric and MTX amp combo?

    hello, i have 2 10" 4 ohm dvc L7 solobarics and a MTX 8100D class d mono amp. i want to know what is the best way to connect the speakers and amp so i can get the max output. right now i'm connected at 8ohm per sub (series).. how do i connect it to the amp? do i connect it directly.. i need help!!! i suck when it comes to wiring subs and amp... any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    You are currently running them at 4 ohm load. Don't let the 81000D's four terminals fool you, it's still a monoblock amp and is internally bridged.

    Your Kickers with DVC 4 ohm coil configuration will only give you 1 ohm and 4 ohm nominal loads. Do not wire all coils in series because Back EMF will damage them! The only coils that you can wire in series is the ones that are in the same sub.

    Your 81000D is NOT 1-ohm stable. It puts out max power at 2 ohm load, so in this case you can just run it in 4 ohms mode and be safe, OR wire all coils in parallel and take a risk with 1 ohm load. I believe the 81000D puts out 800~wrms@4ohm (14.4v) and in excess of 1500watts @ 2 ohm (14.4v) Underrated of course.

    thanks for the reply... so how should i wire the subs and connect to the amp for better output? i need specific intructions if possible, i suck when it comes to subs and amp... thanks
