    Sub box Q

I'm getting ready to make some new sub boxes and I was wondering about an option for using metal screw inserts in the box. The inserts have threads on the inside for metal screws so that when if you remove/put in screws often you don't strip the holes.

Does anyone know if this will provide an airtight seal?

Depends on what the inserts look like and if they use a fine or coarse thread. Most of these threaded inserts are reasonably tight - if you're are worried about air coming though, you can use a gasket on the screw head. You'll probably see more leaking from other areas (corners, sides, terminal block, etc) than from those inserts.

    Good Luck.
