    too much wattage?

I currently have a kenwood kac-929 2 channel amp powering 2 mtx 6000 12" subs..well my bro is gonna take the rolla and the sounds with it..he only wants to keep one sub but im not sure if thatll work ok..the amp produces 415 or so watts rms at 4ohms bridged and the subs max rms is 250 watts (4ohm sub)..would that be ok for the sub to have that much more power? could i just run it as a 2-channel and just leave the other blank? im not sure what to do..thanks in advance audio guys

the two subs are bridged right now..he only wants to have one when he starts driving the corolla leaving the amp with 460 watts x 1 at 4ohms into a single 4ohm sub with a rms range of 50-250 watts..would i have to either get an amp with less power, a sub with a higher rms range, or anything else?

It currently depends on the rms of the amp @4 ohms more often than not I wont use the 1000watt amp unless the gains are turned all the way down
