    Wet Okole Seat Covers

Has anyone seen/bought seat covers from Wet Okole? Some car on cardomain had them so I checked out their website www.wetokole.com

The covers look pretty sweet to me, thinking about getting some for my front seats, maybe the back as well.

Razz, this company is based in Hawaii, have you seen the seat covers or have any info?

I got these for my car. I got the fitted (custom) covers for the front and back. The total came out about $500. If you just get the universal for the front, I think they are about $100. I really like them, just got a rubbery smell since it's new.

I had them on my 99 civic, they fit like a glove. i loved them. I do recommend that you purchase there UV protectant. and even the shampoo. the 4 years i had them on the civic i never had a complaint. Good investment.

Yup, the custom made ones are $250 for front 2 seats and another $250 for the rear seat. Universal ones are $150 (5 years ago). I wanted one too, but too expensive for me :(

    Re: Wet Okole Seat Covers

acaually they present a made in Hawaii feel to their marketing, but their factory shop is in Costa Mesa CA, right here in OC, and if you go down there they will install for free, also I spent the extra $20 for the pump up lumbar support, kinda cool, they measure where to put it by your body, so it is more custom if you go down there....

    Re: Wet Okole Seat Covers

Do you have any pics of your seats? I have a lunar mist CE with grey interior and was thinking of getting black/grey seat covers. (black on the outside, grey on the inside) I'm assuming the grey isn't going to match exactly with the grey(s) already in the car so I'm wondering if it will clash. If so I could get all black or all grey with that piping stuff for trim.

I'm in Irvine so Costa Mesa is not far, probably go down there in the next week or so. For others in So Cal, the address is:
    1727 Superior Ave.
    Costa Mesa, CA 92627

    Re: Wet Okole Seat Covers

I do not have them on my 04 Corolla-S, I do have them on my Toyota ExCab truck in the front and rear, like them, their tough, and it depends on the CE interior color but it sounds like I would go Charcoal with black trim on yours, I would send a photo but color would be off some, better to go down there, as for others not in the area, they will send a swatch of the fabric if you ask them...

dont really like their "new" european piping look, just IMHO personal preference, I like more the black side panels and primary color in the center look, look at their site under "galery" and look up "Toyota" you will see what I mean, I went with Black sides and Charcoal center, the split one color the black is more on the sides and makes it look more custom, less like a cover...they also can add their logos like Toyots logo or other Toyota Graphics as a accent, initials etc, explore the website a little more cool ideas...

ask about discounts, also they give Firefighter and etc discounts...

    One simple question,

Are they made out of cloth or leather?

Yup they are made out of neoprene. Does anyone know if you can machine was neoprene? If not do they sell some sorta cleaners that are safe to use on neoprene? Besides style the other reason I want seat covers is to keep my cloth seats clean and have the ability to clean the covers with ease.

yep, wetokole actually sells the shampoo and UV protectant and a conditioner suited for neoprene and you can shmapoo them while there installed on your seats. because there waterproof nothing will soak into your real seats.

If i had the S, i wouldn't have this problem, but my interior is gray. Does anybody know what kinda seat covers look good with the gray interior???

I know. I've been to theit website. There's really nice designs. But some of them are too "girly" for the car. Like they have tons of flower prints. It's very Hawaiian. I like it, but it's kinda expensive for seat covers. i rather spend that money on a body kit. If it's really like $500 for seat covers.

    well...

this may be not what your looking for, not trying to sell you but the flower designs are kinda a new thing, more seen on Jeeps etc and Surfer rids,VW bugs etc. I have a charcoal grey and black seat cover, comming from CA is would seem more pratical too as they are water proof, they are a wetsuit material, but way thicker, so some padding and wear benifits, also the outer cover is more UV proof than a wetsuit...and $500 seems high, I did front and rear, add on logos, and lumbar supports and headrests and the shampoo / uv protectent kit and went around $400 installed....so ? dont know about $500, they will send you a free swatch of the fabric as well... 8)

I think i'll just stick with the fabric seat covers. i think the whole wetsuit thing will weird me out, but waterproof is nice. I spill my drink all the time. i spilled maple syrup on the seats before. i think i need seat covers bad.

I have seen your posts on seat covers etc on other threads, you seem like a nice person but you need to look at a few, you are not going to make up your mind here, you also seem like the budget is low, in another post you seemed shocked at $200, so what are you trying to do, save the seat from daily wear? water sports? or a new look or what?

The Wet Okole is the top of the line, the other neapreame ones I have seen fall apart, self destruct in UV etc,

but for a water sport alternative, these you just slip over the seat, and go get it wet, after done you put them in the trunk and go...easy and very tuff stuff, like cordura nylon,

 I see how it is. . . u think i am annoying. I am a girl and believe me i much rather spend like 200 dollars on clothes to cover myself then to cover my seats. So it's kinda hard for me to really name my top priorities. i am a very indecisive person. I am very sorry if i am annoying in any way. . .

snuggles, I don't believe he meant to offend you or anything. It is very hard to invest 250.00 - 500.00 for seat covers for something that you have never seen in person. I can assure you you would not be disappointed. They fit Very Very tight. about 30 minutes to install the front 2, and probably about an hour for the rear. they include the head-rest covers so everything matches. i installed theses on my civic and before i sold the car i pulled the covers off and the seats were brand-new.

No I don't have them yet... but my girlfriend is getting them for me for Christmas :D The black outer panels with the grey interior. Hey Ecorolla, I think that's what you have in that pic of your old civic... looks sweet.

About the body kit, I think I posted something about it in my body kit thread in the interior section. I have been really busy and my bro had my digital camera. Front and sides are on though. Waiting to do the spoiler and rear section.

Oh and Snuggles, nobody thinks you are annoying, CJ was just trying to help you out. I am like you in that I am waaay indecisive mostly because I try to make all these decisions without actually seeing the products and that doesn't cut it for me. If you take a look at the seat covers you will at least know how you feel about them regardless of how much they cost. For once I have some money so I am going to get the wet okole covers but they have cheaper neoprene covers in auto zone or even target. (assuming you like them) 8)

jeeze where did you get all that???

Really seems like this is not the product for you that is all...

You don’t like neoprene, you don’t have the funds to put this way, you don’t like the colors, you don’t like the designs and you don’t need water proof, so this is not for you...female or not geeze grow up, has more to do with being a Adult than a male of female thing, more like some self responsibility...

You are not as anyone would not make a most informed decision on the internet, you should get up, get off the couch go to a store and go look at some....

I offered complete, info with links and all and still you are not happy, the company offers to send you a free sample, you had a link to send them a email, did not even have to take the initiative of calling the company on a toll free line, your hand was and is held and you are still offended,

    Geeze grow up....

Like OC Rolla I look at all the angles first, this is not indecisive, this is intelligent and through, however I take the responsibility to gather as much info to self educate before making the decision....

You on the other hand are not indecisive, you are just plain lazy…and when anyone points out you need to do your own research, you say their being mean to me,
    WAH WAH….

i am not lazy. i've been to stores and searched everywhere. I go out all the time, it's just so happens that recently i've been home more, so therefore i have more time to be online. I don't see how growing up have to do with anything. well i am sorry if i am whiny and not grown enough to talk to u.
