    whiteline rear sway installation: failure

i tried to install my whiteline 20mm adj rear sway bar. I failed. i think it's because of one problem. the whiteline swaybar doenst match the exact shape of the stock swaybar. this is a problem because once you raise the gas tank up all the gas lines and tubes get pinched and streched. i've tried several setups. going over the lines, going under the lines, going between. i've tried every possible way. and there were stresses on each of the hoses and tubes connecting to the fuel tank.

the next thing i need to do when i try my next attempt at the install is purchase new longer hoses and tubes so that when i raise the gas tank, nothing is stressed or forced.

this was a horrible experience. when i finally put back my stock sway bar, everything looked normal. no stresses on the tubes. this wasn't as easy as i thought it would be. and it's all because of the hoses and tubes. i don't know which each tube does to begin with. i have to get the right size and thickness just so a tube doenst collapse. major suckage!

don't get me wrong, the whiteline swaybar fits, but when you raise up that gas tank again nothing feels right.

and i learned a very important lesson when i was a kid,

"when taking apart or assembling ANYTHING, do not force it in or out, you might break it."

"when you're not sure, stop and ask"

i didn't want a hollow swaybar. i went with the solid bar. before bolting up my exhaust and raising my gas tank, the bar looked sweet! i could almost feel how much stiffer the rear would be without even lowering my car off its jackstands.

just copy and save that picture/graphic as a jpeg and go to your copy store like a kinkos and tell them to make it into a sticker.

WOW what a great idea. i think that's what i'm going to do now!

Got any pics of the failed install so that maybe we can see which lines or whatever it is that is obstructing it? How come you can install the Hotchkis but not the Whiteline? Maybe there's some other method.
