yeah on gold color chrome looks wierd and out of place, if anything the black is gonna look good and kinda badd ass.

ok temp gauge you can tap the signal wire for your stock one on the dash or you can mount a sandwich adapter on your oil filter and install the temp...
what kind of vac/temp guge? and where do you want to mount it?
do a search on wideband o2 sensor, I remember now that it was the reason for not installing A/F gauge in my rolla, wideband sensor is more precise....
